<p style="text-indent: 22pt; line-height: 200%"><font color="#333333">在汶川大地震前一星期，四川阿坝地区民间已经有传言即将发生地震，甚至有群众打电话到阿坝州防震减灾局谘询求证。但阿坝州防震减灾局当即明确表示这是“谣传”，并要求马尔康防震减灾局采取措施，查找“谣传”来源，进行辟“谣”。随后，2008年5月9日，中共四川省当局甚至公开在其官方网站上进行了所谓的“地震辟谣”，宣称当地没有地震。然而3天后，大地震就在当地发生了。
<P>据武汉《长江日报》报导，中国地质大学（武汉）教授吴冲龙日前在四川地震灾区调查时发现，江油武都镇白衣乡在地震前一个月内，多次出现井水突升突降；涪江江水在地震前几个小时出现忽冷忽热。他说，这些现象是由应力释放导致地层变形引起，是很典型的地震前兆。
<P>报导说，中国地质大学（武汉）科技赈灾队到灾区进行了一个月的调查，吴冲龙到江油、茂县、映秀等地调查后获得居民们反映：在地震发生之前就出现过很多特别的地震前兆。这些前兆包括江油武都镇白衣乡在地震前一个月内，多次出现井水突升突降的情况；当地幸存者表示，地震前几个小时，他们在涪江游泳，当时感觉到江水忽冷忽热。
<P>很多人称汶川地震之前没有任何前兆和迹象。但吴冲龙说，这么大的地震，释放了这么大的能量，震前一定有能量释放，“应力形成挤压，地表受力发生变形、位移，肯定能体现出来。”
<P>吴冲龙一九七六年曾参与成功预测四川松潘规模七点五地震。</P></font></td>
