<p style="text-indent: 22pt; line-height: 200%"><font color="#333333">古今中外，念佛信佛而受益的人，不胜枚举。这里介绍发生在我国古代东魏（531-550）时期的一件事。那时，有个定州人孙敬德，他平时信奉佛教，曾造一尊观音像，自己供奉在家。后来他被坏人诬陷入狱。经受不起严刑拷打，被迫认罪，被判了死刑。夜里在睡梦中见到一位僧人，教他诵念“救生观世音”一千遍。他醒来以后，立即开始虔诚的诵念。
<P>把他押赴刑场时，他已经念满了一千遍，他还在心里继续默念。当他被行刑时，觉得刀砍在脖子上，并不很痛，也没有流血，皮肤也没有受到任何损伤。但是刀子却断为三段。三次更换刀子，对他行刑，都是那样。行刑人吓坏了，一屁股坐到地上！监斩官只得下令停止行刑。并把这事报告了朝廷。当时的丞相名叫高欢，他立即上表，请求免去了孙敬德的死罪。把他大赦，放回家去。
<P>孙敬德回到家里，敬拜家中的观音像时，发现观音菩萨像的颈项上，有三道刀印。他悟到是观音替他受难，感激得泪流满面，向观音叩谢不已。
<P>朝廷还为此事下令誊写《观音经》，称为《高王观音经》。从晋朝、宋朝、梁朝以来，凡是诵念观音、地藏、弥勒、弥陀名号而得救的人，不可胜数。（据《冥祥记》）
<P>从这件事情，我联想到现在的法轮大法弟子，他们劝告人们念诵“法轮大法好”，可以得到意想不到的吉祥与益处。例如，有重病之人，念了那句话，重病得到痊愈；突然遇到车祸或其他灾难，念了那句话，而有惊无险，化险为夷；或从此办事顺利；或从此家庭和顺，等等。这类的事，出现过许多。只要虔诚，持之以恒，总是有益无害的。古今一理，都体现了佛的慈悲和无边的法力。</P></font></td>
