<p style="text-indent: 22pt; line-height: 200%"><font color="#333333">李珏的父亲开了个米店，以贩卖粮食为业。李珏为人，正直勤谨，严守本份。在他十五岁时，父亲因事暂时外出，从此让李珏掌管米店的生意。有农村的人来卖粮，或城市的人来买粮，李珏都是把升、斗交给顾客，让他们自己量米。他也从不计较当时粮价的贵贱。每次卖粮只求两文钱的利润，以养活家人。岁月积久，衣食丰足。父亲感到奇怪，担心他玩什么花招，问他，他以实相答。父亲说：“一般米店，都是大斗买进，小斗卖出。我是进出同用一斗，已算不错了。你却把升斗交人自量，你比我强。可是我家丰衣足食，可见苍天有眼，暗有神护。”
<P>后来朝廷中的李珏丞相，出朝兼任淮南节度使。李珏听说新来的节度使也名李珏，为避同名，便改名李宽。丞相兼节度使的李珏，有一夜做梦，来到“华阳洞天”，那里鲜花烂漫，楼阁连绵。李珏丞相漫步楼阁之下，见有石壁光滑莹洁，上刻金色大字，名为仙籍榜。所列人名中，竟有李珏的名字。李珏丞相心想：我任显要官职，功德及天，如今真的名列仙班了！他高兴不已。此时有二位仙童，从石壁两侧出来，说：“这个李珏不是你丞相本人，他是你管辖下的一位江阳百姓。”
<P>第二天，李珏醒来，就设法去求访另一个李珏。一连好几天，都未访到。后来终于找到了现名李宽、原名李珏之人。
<P>李丞相把李珏用车辇迎到家里，安置于静室之中，然后自己斋戒沐浴，礼拜谒见，称他为道兄。并令全家人恭敬侍奉，朝夕参礼。李珏已是七旬老人，他神情雅淡，容颜秀异，须长尺余，皓然可爱。但他现在受到李丞相如此礼遇，社会上的人就有些议论。有人讲：“他是个开米店的，有什么了不起？”有人却不高兴的说：“开米店是没什么了不起，但李珏的为人就是了不起。”
<P>过了一个多月，李丞相才开口问李珏：“请问道兄，平日修炼何门道术？服用什么仙药？我曾梦游仙境，见到道兄名列仙籍，所以我迎请道兄，以师礼相待。万望您把道术传授给我。”李珏说：“愚民不知道有什么道术，也从来未服用任何仙药。”李丞相再三恳求，李珏无奈之下，只好把自己怎样卖粮食的事，说了出来。
<P>李丞相终于弄明白了原因，感慨万千，嗟叹不止，说：“你任人自行量米，多年如一日，看是小事，实是难为。这不是一般人能做得到的。所积阴德，不可及也！我从这件事悟得：人世间一动一静，一食一息，天尽知之。只要积累功德，虽身处微贱，也会有神灵保佑，名列仙籍。这是神以此警诫世人！”
<P>当时有人说：“李丞相师事李珏：神了！”李珏活到百岁，仍然轻健爽朗。死后三日，留下衣冠，身体蝉蜕而去，真的成神仙了。
<P>这件事说明了很多道理：一、世上的人，在神的眼中一律平等。神只看人心是善是恶，以此来分别好坏与高下。至于是丞相,还是米店掌柜，这决不是神用来衡量人的标难。二、任何平凡的工作岗位，任何平凡的事业，只要认真的做，用善心去做，都可以做出成绩，甚至于创造奇迹。人的心性有多高，创造的成绩或奇迹，就有多大。三、无论人做了多少好事，总会有人妒忌不满，也总会有人主持公道。你应该“大肚能容，容天下能容之事；开口常笑，笑世上可笑之人。”正是：<BR><BR>不怕吃亏不吃亏，<BR>不避愚蠢不愚蠢； <BR>不弃寻常不寻常，<BR>不耍聪明最聪明。<BR>不求道时已在道，<BR>不羡伟人成伟人。<BR>平凡之中出奇迹，<BR>名列仙班见精神。<BR></P></font></td>
