<P>新唐人电视台（简称新唐人）11日在曼哈顿纽约旅馆举行记者会，就欧卫为取悦中共而关闭新唐人在中国上空的信号事件向媒体作出说明。记者无疆界（RSF）纽约分部主任Tala Dowlatshahi在记者会上正式对外公布该组织的调查结果。 </P>

<P>新唐人发言人洪凯莉表示欧卫的作法是有预谋的，有政治动机的决定，封锁新闻自由，违反了欧卫的宪章。新唐人呼吁国际社会关注此事，挽救在中国上空唯一的自由卫星窗口，让中国上亿观众能再看到新唐人节目</P>

<P>新唐人电视台总裁李琮说，我们新唐人对近日曝光的欧洲卫星公司工作人员的一段讲话感到震惊。这段录音谈话披露了欧卫关闭新唐人在中国上空的信号的原因不是它所宣称的“技术故障”，而是早已策划好的在利益的驱动下屈从中共的政治性举措。
<P>李琮说，新唐人与欧卫的合同自2004年开始，为期4年。欧卫公司总裁Giuliano Berretta的行为违背了合约条款，违反该公司的宪章，也严重伤害了欧卫公司的商业信誉和长远利益。“这种作法很不专业。”
<P>洪凯莉说，自在W5卫星上播出开始，新唐人对大量中国观众已必不可少。新唐人播出的自由信息令中共惧怕，所以遭到中共的倾力打压。
<P>会上有记者提问新唐人对欧卫是否要采取法律行动，洪凯莉回答，我们保留法律起诉欧卫的权利，同时寻求欧美议会，议员，欧洲工会的帮助，以及无政府组织，国际社会，欧卫员工及董事会的董事的支持。我们也在寻找其它渠道??，尽快恢复被中断的信号。<BR>洪凯莉同时呼吁国际社会关注此事，挽救在中国上空唯一的自由卫星窗口，让中国上亿观众能再看到新唐人。
<P>记者无疆界纽约分部主任Tala Dowlatshahi在记者会上指出，欧卫违反了欧盟卫星公司必须遵守的的规章中的第3条公约：确保获取信息的自由和多元性。
<P>Tala 表示，记者无疆界是在反复确定了调查对话的真实性之后才于今日正式对外公布调查结果。欧卫星公司的总部在巴黎，记者无疆界的总部也同样在巴黎。记者无疆界不会在未证实的情况下，发表无须有的指控。记者无疆界与中国国内的人权机构联系和媒体机构都有联络，因此考证的结果是可信的。
<P>她说，记者无疆界希望公司的董事向欧卫施压，也希望各国政府能在奥运之前向中共施压。她强调在奥运之后施压就没用了。她指中共并没履行向奥运举办委员会承诺的容许媒体自由报导。
<P>Tala Dowlatshahi称，法国总统宣布将参与奥运，对此，记者无疆界已发函反对。她澄清不是杯葛奥运会，而是在奥运之前，让奥委员会向中共施压，因为中共不能在举办奥运的当儿仍然是囚禁最多记者的大监狱。
<P>1977年成立的欧卫是世界第三大、欧洲最大的卫星公司。</P></font></td>
