<P>应英国前资深外交官瑟罗勋爵的邀请，7月17日，加拿大前亚太司司长、资深国会议员乔高先生（David Kilgour）在英国上议院举行中共活摘器官研讨会。包括国会议员、内政部官员、华人代表等各方人士及英国各大媒体参加了研讨会。英国BBC和 channel4对乔高来访进行了深入报道。 </P>
<P><B>介绍独立调查报告</B>
<P>乔高先生首先向与会者介绍了他们的独立报告，幷就听衆们提出的问题进行了解答。他指出，自1999年至今，中国进行了4万1千5百例器官来源不明的器官移植手术，从法轮功学员身上摘取器官的指控回答了这个疑问。他说“中国政府根本无法证实，他们承认的这四万一千例器官移植手术的器官均来自于死刑犯。”
<P>其后，英国法轮功学员罗娜在会上证实她本人曾经在劳教所期间被强迫做身体检查和血液检查。 她说：“只有法轮功学员被强迫做身体检查和血液检查，其他的人如吸毒者等都没有被检查。”
<P><B>主流媒体关注</B>
<P>7 月17日，从早上7点一直到晚12点，乔高先生接受了多家媒体的采访。英国Channel 4在当晚黄金时间新闻段播出中共活体摘除法轮功成员器官的新闻以及对乔高先生、儸娜女士的采访。英国BBC四个不同的部门也先后对乔高先生进行了采访。乔高表示：“我们度过了很有意义的一天。我跨越了欧洲，所到的国家如英国、比利时、德国、法国的议员都很支持我们。我觉得欧洲人民对这个问题理解的很好，事情开始有进展了。”
<P><B>回应中使馆的声明</B>
<P>对于外界对中共活体摘除器官的指控，中共方面一直否认。并宣布中国有禁止非法买卖人体器官的法律在今年七•一后开始施行。伦敦中使馆也对媒体声明中共一直遵守世界卫生组织的相关原则。
<P>乔高先生对此囘应说：我有2点评论：第一，这件事可能从2001年就开始了，（现在才制定法律）是不是太晚了？第二，根据中国政府的网站，法律条例和法律的实施有着极大的差异。为了搞好公共形象，（中国政府）可以很容易地说，这是丑恶的行径，现在来制止它。但为什么中国政府不在2001年制止这件事呢？我不会把中国大使馆的声明看重的。
<P><B>国会议员表达支持</B>
<P>英国国会议员马克•亨特（Mark Hunter）和海伦•古德曼(Helen Goodman)参加了研讨会。亨特先生早前已经在议会上提出，要求就中国境内的践踏人权问题，特别是就摘取人体器官的问题展开紧急辩论。他在接受本报记者采访时说：“祝贺大卫和他的同事的报告，中共器官移植问题已被公衆所承认。我认为，正在中国发生着的践踏人权的行径真是耸人听闻，我们的政府有责任站出来反对，这也是我应该去做的。”
<P>古德曼议员表示：报告做得非常好，非常全面，是一个严肃的报告。在此之前我就认为活体摘除器官是真实的，不幸的是这个报告与我的认识正好相符。她表示会向新一任外交部长提出此事。其目的是，一方面是给中国政府施加压力，另一方面确保英国的医生和病人不与这种行径合作。
<P><B>新闻发布会表达希望</B>
<P>7 月18日，乔高先生在伦敦外囯记者俱乐部召开新闻发布会。他对媒体公开表示：“我们一定能制止在中国发生的这一丑恶的行径。”他还谈到与两名英国议员间已达成共识，应该制止中国的医生们到欧洲或北美接受器官移植等方面的培训。他说“我认为，中国医生们不应该容许参加波士顿举行的（世界器官移植）大会，去学习移植技术，然后更好地杀人、出售器官。而这是与医疗专业人员的职业标准相违背的”。他希望各界人士都能了解中共活体摘器官的这种丑陋行径，并共同起来制止这类事件的发生。</P></font></td>
