<p style="text-indent: 22pt; line-height: 200%"><font color="#333333"><DIV class=dd18>也许是天意不可违，据毛泽东的管家吴连登报露，毛泽东最后一个生日，厨师为他特别擀制的寿面，在下锅的时候一节节断碎在锅里，而毛泽东至死都不知道他吃到嘴里的是厨师应急所用的普通挂面。
<P></P>1975年12月26日，毛泽东82岁生日，也是他最后一个生日。这天，一大早，毛泽东的女儿李敏、李讷等和吴旭君、俞雅菊等都来到了中南海游泳池，中午时分，江青也来了，并带来毛平时最爱吃的两道菜：胖头鱼汤和肉丝炒辣椒。
<P>据毛的管家吴登报露说，那一年的生日虽然菜肴比往常丰盛，但仍然有凄惨之色，最后，陪毛吃饭的只有张玉凤等两三个人。而且还有一件不可思议的事可让人预感到也许毛泽东大限已至。
<P>当时，中南海的面点师傅是田树滨，他的面食点心做得特别好，毛泽东的生日长寿面自然每年都是由他来做。田树滨在接到吴连登的电话后，就拿上工具到毛泽东的厨房擀面条，但把面条下锅后，想不到的事情发生了：面条碎成一节一节的，没有一根是整的。
<P>这一幕惊呆了毛泽东的其他几位厨师，就连吴连登也很震惊。田树滨哭着说：“不得了了，从来没有这样的事，这辈子从来没有做过这样的面条”
<P>吴连登说：“面条碎在锅里，这是天意，还是巧合，真的说不上是什么道理，但那的确是主席最后一个生日。”
<P>毛泽东吃饭的时间短，再擀面条肯定来不及。吴连登就吩咐煮挂面。厨房里的挂面是师傅们自备的，因为毛泽东吃饭的时间不固定，师傅们很有可能赶不上食堂开饭的时间，就在厨房自备了挂面以便充饥，没想到这时候竟派上用场。毛泽东至死也不知道这件事，不知道他的最后一碗长寿面不是手擀面，而是挂面。
