<P>2007年4月8日，是中国历史上一个永远不会也不能忘记的日子，这一天将载入史册。 </P>
<P>在法轮功依然受迫害之时，自由文化运动协调委员会4月8日于澳洲奥克兰欧缇会议中心（Aotea Centre）举行了「中国自由文化运动2007年特别精神信仰奖颁奖大会」，把这份「特别精神信仰奖」颁发给了法轮功。这是中国民间及知识份子首次褒奖给正在受迫害的信奉「真善忍」的法轮功修炼团体。这预示着中共的迫害已经走向最后的失败。
<P>法轮功发言人张而平出席了会议接受颁奖并发言。令全场一片惊呼的是，他还向自由文化运动转赠了一份无价之宝、法轮大法创始人的亲笔题辞：「复兴中华神传文化」。
<P>复兴中华神传文化──寻回中华民族的魂灵和生命的来源之路，当务之急。
<P>◎ <B>仲维光：高山仰止、万分荣幸 </B>

<P>颁奖大会由自由文化运动协调委员会委员仲维光主持。他向张而平颁发奖牌时表示，今天心情特别激动，必须尽量抑制自己的情感。他对法轮功团体有「高山仰止」的崇敬之心。能得到法轮功创始人的亲笔题辞，他感到万分的荣幸。
<P>仲维光还表示，作为一个知识份子，或作为一个自认为是中国社会良心的知识份子，为法轮功颁奖，是一件来得太晚的事。「其实，我们应该在法轮功刚被镇压时就出来，现在是太晚了点，但太晚了还不迟。我们能够在这个时候站出来发出我们的声音，我还是感到一些欣慰。」

<P>自由文化运动发起人袁红冰在颁奖发言时说：“从上个世纪末至今天，在中国的大地上持续发生着一场当代世界上最严重的人权灾难，就是中共暴政对法轮功精神修炼者的政治大迫害。这场政治大迫害已经深刻的伤害了人类的良知。 ……但是，迄今为止的历史进程告诉人们，中共暴政失败了，而且正在走向最后的失败。
<P>袁红冰表示，这是中国的自由知识份子第一次以一个社会历史运动的名义，对法轮功修炼者所经受的迫害向中共暴政提出的抗议，同时也表达对法轮功修炼团体的敬意。希望能够通过这次颁奖为挽救中国知识份子的良心做出一点事情。
<P>他说：面对惨绝人寰的政治大迫害，法轮功精神修炼者以和平而又英勇顽强的方式对暴政的抗争，正在赢得历史的尊敬。
<P>他还说：为了表彰法轮功精神修炼者维护人类精神信仰自由权利所作出的巨大努力，为了向法轮功精神修炼者抗争暴政的大无畏精神表示敬意，评奖委员会决定，把《中国自由文化运动2007年特别精神信仰奖》颁发给法轮功精神修炼者群体。奖金额度为五万新西兰币。
<P>◎ <B>张而平：对法轮功的支持是在做历史选择 </B>

<P>法轮功发言人张而平说，很欣喜的了解到有众多的炎黄子孙们在海内外积极参与复兴中华民族文化，解除中共党文化的运动。华夏文明源于神传文化，很不幸的遭到中共打压。崇尚暴力和谎言的，已被西方文明所摒弃的共产学说 像幽灵一样在中国大陆上游荡着，严密和残暴地控制着每一个喘息的生命。
<P>“九评共产党”的出现和退党的大潮铲除了中共的根基，而每一个中国人对传统文化的认同，包括中国自由文化运动恢复民族文化的努力，都在有力地瓦解着中共，帮助人民摆脱受其肉体和精神上的控制。这才是一场真正的振兴中华，光复民族精神的运动。
<P>张而平还说，人们对法轮功不同方式上的支持，不仅仅是普通意义上的，道义上的支持，实质是为自己的未来做出历史性的选择。
<P>◎ <B>费良勇：这就是神迹！是法轮大法神迹！ </B>

<P>「中国自由文化运动」协调委员会委员费良勇在发言中说，中共声称三个月消灭法轮功，但近八年过去了，法轮功却在全球发展的更为蓬勃，“这就是神迹！是法轮大法神迹！”法轮功不仅属于中国，也属于全世界，世界需要“真善忍”。
<P>费良勇还说，三退活动（退党退团退队）使中共陷入严重的信仰危机，组织危机和执政危机，已有两千万人退出共产党及其相关组织的浪潮，促使中国人民走出恐惧、日益觉醒，彻底脱离中共。
<P>◎ <B>刘阳：功德无量 </B>
<P>自由文化运动协调委员会委员刘阳说：面对中国社会的整体道德沦丧，任何炎黄子孙都应该感到深深的忧虑。法轮功提倡的「真善忍」有利于提升中国人的道德。
<P>他还说，法轮功学员确实为中国的进步作出了贡献，比如突破中共网络封锁的技术，就是法轮功学员发明创造的。这是功德无量的事。
