<p style="text-indent: 22pt; line-height: 200%"><font color="#333333"><P>历史上可歌可泣的故事很多，但史可法为国殉难的事迹，在三百年后的今天再度回味，却依然令人回肠荡气……
<P>史可法，字宪之，号道邻，明末河南人。二十岁那年，史可法在应试途中寄宿古庙苦读。一个风雪交加的日子，时任京畿督学的左光斗微服出巡。当他们一行人来到古庙时，看到一个年轻人正读倦了趴在桌上睡觉，桌上放着一篇刚拟好草稿的文章。左光斗拿来一看，大为赞赏，见他衣服单薄，马上将自己外套脱下披在此年人身上。问了寺僧，知此人名字是“史可法”，左光斗这才悄悄离去。
<P>应试当天，左光斗任主考官，看到前来应试的史考法，便当场在试卷上批了他第一名。左光斗曾私下对太太说：“我的几个儿子都很平庸，不足以成就大事，将来能够继承我志业的，恐怕就只有这个年轻人了。”
<P>明末的朝政非常混乱，明熹宗天启五年，左光斗因杨涟案而被牵连，被捕入狱。<BR>史可法知道恩师被奸人关在狱中，因奸人戒备很严，连自家的仆人都不准接近，所以只好朝夕在狱门外窥视。过了许久，史可法听说左光斗受了炮烙，迟早将死，便拿了五十两银子，哭泣着跟狱卒商量，求见恩师一面，狱卒终被感动了。
<P>隔天，史可法换上破烂衣服、背着竹框、手拿铲子、假装成清垃圾的人，进入到狱中探望恩师。他看到左光斗“席地倚墙而坐，面额焦烂不可辨，左膝以下，筋骨尽脱矣”（《左忠公轶事》．方苞），于是忍不住抱着恩师痛哭。左光斗眼睛焦烂张不开，但听出是史可法的声音，于是努力的用手把眼皮拨开，目光如炬，怒斥史可法说：“庸奴！这是什们地方啊，你竟敢前来！国家已经败坏到这个地步，我年纪大也就算了，而你却轻忽自己的生命而不晓大义，天下事还有谁可指望呢？！你再不快走，不等奸人害你，我现在就打死你！”
<P>史可法知道恩师用心良苦，只好哭泣着离开。后来他常跟人提起这件事，说：“吾师肺肝，皆铁石所铸造也！”但也正因左光斗提携后进及“铁石肺肝”的人格感召，深深影响了史可法，成就了史可法忠肝义胆的作风。
<P>《左忠公轶事》中记载史可法任职凤庐道时，每当军情紧张时，他往往数日不卧床睡觉，而是让士兵轮番休息，自己坐在营帐外守候。每当寒夜猛然站起来，拍动衣服时，铠甲上的冰霜被振落下来，发出清脆的声音。有人劝他要稍作休息，史可法总是回答说： “吾上恐负朝廷，下恐愧吾师也。”由此可知左光斗在史可法心中的份量与地位。
<P>崇祯末年，马士英左右朝政，对史可法心存妒忌，设计将史可法外放到扬州。消息传出，舆论哗然。史可法明知外调扬州是马士英的阴谋，但为了保护扬州不让清兵入侵，只好将计就计，他说：“马士英让我去守扬州，不外是想要独掌政权。可是守扬州这个重任，如果让他们那帮人去担任，能守得住城吗？”于是他便欣然前往就职。
<P>弘光元年，在与清兵苦战七昼夜之后，史可法误中清兵圈套，以为三千援军来到，于是打开城门迎接，方知是清兵伪装。同时，清兵又用洋炮击垮西北城墙，瞬间扬州城陷。众人簇拥着史可法逃脱，但史可法为国殉难之志甚坚，不愿再往前行，对着清兵大喊：“我乃大明督师史可法是也！”于是他立即被清兵包围。
<P>多尔衮闻讯赶来劝他投降，并尊称他为“先生”。但史可法面对这样的局势，依然坚定的说：“城在我守，城亡我死！”多尔衮叹曰：“忠臣也，当杀之，以成其名节。”史可法就这样从容就义，享年44岁。清乾隆时追谥忠正，着有《史忠正公集》。</P></font></td>
