<P>人的性格、品行中虽然有短处，也一定有长处。与人交往，如果经常注重他人的短处，而无视他人的长处，那么，就连一刻也难以与人相处。相反的，如果常想着他人的长处，而不去计较他的短处，就是一辈子相交下去也能和睦。
<P><B>*轻慢嫉妒 自取其辱</B>
<P>待人接物时，如果总是怀着傲慢、虚伪、嫉妒、怀疑之心，那么这是自己向人讨取轻蔑与侮辱。品德高尚的君子是不会这么干的。
<P>有傲慢之心的人，自己明明不如人，却喜欢轻薄别人。见到地位低于自己，以及有求于己的人，不仅当面不以礼相待，并且在背后暗地里讥笑人家。这种人如果能反省一下自身，则可能会惭愧得汗流浃背。
<P>怀有虚伪之心的人，言语十分委婉动听，好象对待别人很厚道，可心里则大相径庭。这种人可能一时之间还被人相信仰慕，可是与他打上二三次交道，他的真面目就暴露无遗了。最终被人唾弃。
<P>怀有嫉妒之心的人常常想把自己放于高出别人的地位，所以听到有赞美别人好时，就忿然不平，以为这种赞美是错误的；听到别人有什么地方不如人时，就感到欣慰和发笑。其实这种行为对别人又有什么损害，只不过徒增别人对你的怨恨而已。
<P>怀有疑心的人，人们说的话，可能是随口说说，他却反反复复地想：“这到底在讥讽我什么事？那又到底在嘲笑我什么事？”。人与人结怨，往往就是从此开始的。贤明的人听到别人对自己的讥讽嘲笑，就象没听见一般，如此不是省却了许多烦恼事！<BR></P></font></td>
