<p style="text-indent: 22pt; line-height: 200%"><font color="#333333"><P>张玮，字席之，是明朝武进人。自幼成为孤儿，家境贫困，但注重节操和德行修养。
<P>万历壬子年间，张玮同一书生一起到南京应试。在一旅店住下后，当天夜里，旅店主人梦见迎天榜，书生中了解元。醒来后，他将这个梦如实告诉了书生，书生洋洋得意。
<P>旅店主有两个女儿住在楼上，一个叫“甫”，一个叫“笄”，她们可能有所听闻，为楼下的书生所动心，于是便让婢女下去叫他，并从楼上垂下布带当作梯子。书生拉着张玮一起登梯上楼，到一半时，张玮猛然省悟，心想：我是来应试的，怎么能做如此损德的事呢？于是急忙堕身下来了，而书生径直上去了。
<P>这一天夜里，旅店主人再次梦到迎天榜，发现解元居然换成张玮了，旅店主人大吃一惊，醒来后赶快告诉了书生，并询问书生最近做过什么事。书生面红耳赤无以应答。
<P>等到发榜，果然解元是张玮，书生惭愧后悔不已，最后忧郁而终。张玮后来成为进士，被任为户部主事，以为官清廉节俭而受人称道，历官至左副都御史。
<P>贪色奸淫是上天最不能宽恕的违反人伦的大恶事，犯者必将损德折福，饱受天谴，故事中的书生便是前车之鉴，不可不慎之。</P></font></td>
