<P>中国地震局证实，截至北京时间11月26日下午2点，江西省5.7级地震已造成至少14人死亡、20人重伤、8千多人受伤、13多万间屋损毁或倒塌，60万多人紧急转移安置，这是江西有史以来最大的地震。</P>
<P>由于这次地震发生在离地面较接近的浅层，威力强大，安徽、浙江、湖南、福建、湖北、江苏等邻近省份都明显感到震动。</P>
<P><STRONG>四十万人街头露宿 当局要外地记者离开</STRONG></P>
<P>中国地震局测定，地震发生在26日早8时49分，震央在九江县与瑞昌市之间，即北纬29.7度、东经115.7度，震级为5.7级，截至中午已测到42次余震。</P>
<P>截至26日中午，九江县死亡7人，伤247人，倒塌房屋8千多间，损毁房屋2万9千多间，重灾区集中在城子、新塘、岷山、港口。瑞昌市死亡5人，受伤130多人，倒塌房屋500多间，损毁房屋10万多间，两个重灾区42万名民众已撤离居所。湖北省武穴市２人死亡。由于目前伤亡数字尚未包括偏远地区，估计地震中的伤亡数字还会攀升。</P>
<P>由于担心再发地震，尽管当地昨日最低气温只有摄氏九度，居民仍到街上“打地铺”暂避，在马路两旁铺起了被褥、搭起帐篷过夜的民众随处可见。根据国家地震专家的建议，灾区共计四十多万人需要在街头露宿三天，毗邻的湖北省武穴市也有数万民众露宿。</P>
<P>地震发生后，有民众怒批政府无能，在事发后未能即时启动善后措施，漠视市民生命。民众也批评，地震讯息发放不及时，让他们饱受传闻之苦。不过，当局显然未理会民众要求，中共中央宣传部已下发通知，要求外地记者离开地震灾区。</P>
<P><STRONG>湖北一百多学生发生踩踏事故</STRONG></P>
<P>湖北省武穴市龙坪镇距九江震中心约50公里，是湖北省伤亡最重、倒塌房屋最多的乡镇。据武穴市民政局昨日中午12时公布的数字，该市因地震死亡2人，受伤2人，全市倒塌房屋205间，受灾户75户，受损户497户，受损房屋965间.</P>
<P>据报导，湖北省阳新、武穴、蕲春三地学生在撤离时发生踩踏事件，共造成103人受伤，其中7人重伤。其中，据震中仅70公里的阳新县浮屠镇中学，有47名学生受伤，其中1人重伤、1人生命垂危。</P>
<P>目前，全市中小学已暂时全部停课，此外，武汉高校已疏散师生。</P>
<P>另据庐山风景区管理处一名职员表示，九江县地震时庐山也感受到强烈的震动，由于庐山地势险峻，旅游部门随即关闭了部份景点，禁止游客进入，包括著名景点三叠泉，不过尚未全面封山。</P>
<P><STRONG>震前湖北测到异常信息</STRONG> </P>
<P>江西地震虽属罕见，江西寻乌县曾在1987年发生5.5级地震，这次是江西自1949年来震级最高的一次地震。地震局指出，目前地壳运动正出现新状况，华东、华北地区02年形成新的地震带，专家早在去年年底已预测，江西08年前会有5级左右地震。至于此次地震是否就是他们所预测的及中国地震是否进入了活跃期就仍待证实。</P>
<P>另据重庆晚报28日报导，27日，湖北省地震局首席预报员李胜乐研究员透露：九江地震发生前两天，即11月24日，黄梅前兆地震台曾观测到明显异常地震信息。文章称，当时地震台正在改造，施工人员进出较频繁，工作人员误认为异常信息是人为干扰所致，从而错失预报良机。</P>
<P>此外，有市民说地震来临前有先兆，家中的狗在不安的咆哮，角落里的老鼠在四处逃窜，不过因为江西很少地震，大家都不以为意。

<P align=center><STRONG>江西地震救灾记者会 市府逐记者引哗然</STRONG></P>
<P>江西地震重灾区九江市政府昨天举行首次记者会说明救灾工作，记者会结束后，九江市副市长张华竟下逐客令，表示中宣部已发通知，除了中央和省级记者外，所有记者须即日离开。逐客令引起在场记者的哗然。</P>
<P>香港多家媒体派员至江西磞a采访，据香港太阳报报导，地震发生后，海内外逾一百名记者涌到九江市采访，在昨天记者会结束后，屡遭记者质疑救灾工作的九江市副市长张华随即表示：“感谢媒体的关心。收到中宣部的通知，除中央级、省级媒体外，其他媒体到此结束，可以离开了。”</P>
<P>张华的逐客令随即引来数十名地方级记者的哗然，记者将他团团包围，要求解释拒绝他们采访的原因，但张华始终拒绝说明原因，并在工作人员的开路下快步离开。</P>
<P>报导指出，为了加强对自然灾害的救助，民政部早先才将属国家机密的自然灾害的死亡人数解密，这次阻止记者采访明显与政策背道而驰，质疑是要企图隐瞒救灾不力。</P></font></td>
