<P>神韵纽约艺术团结束在美国东部的演出之后，取道得克萨斯州的达拉斯、科罗拉多州丹佛、亚利桑那州凤凰城，将于1月15日抵达加州最南端城市圣地亚哥，并于当晚举行全球华人新年晚会加州场次的首演。晚会将于15日至17日在艾斯康迪多加州艺术中心（California Center for the Arts, Escondido）连演四场。 </P>
<P>圣地亚哥县联邦、州、和地方各级官员纷纷颁发褒奖或发来贺信，盛赞新唐人电视台和神韵纽约艺术团为弘扬正统中国文化和正面的价值观、促进不同文化传统间的交流等方面所做出的卓越贡献。 <BR> <BR>发来褒奖和贺信的官员包括联邦众议员鲍伯·费尔纳（Bob Filner）、德雷尔·艾萨（Darrell Issa）、苏珊·戴维斯（Suzan Davis），加州议会众议员丹尼斯·莫芮奴·达启尼（Denise Moreno Duchheny）、周尔·安德森（Joel Anderson），维斯塔市市长莫瑞斯·万斯（Morris Vance）及市议会全体议员、卡尔斯堡市市长克劳德·路易斯（Claude A. Lewis）、圣地亚哥市议员布莱恩·孟山（Brian Maienschein）等。 <BR><BR><B>联邦议员宣布“华人新年晚会日” <BR></B> <BR>联邦众议员费尔纳先生在褒奖令中称，这台晚会“史诗般壮丽”（of epic proportions）。他说，“由神韵纽约艺术团最杰出的艺术家们担纲主演的这台激动人心并具启发性的、史诗般壮丽的晚会将使华人社区重新体认其五千年文化的辉煌和美好”。费尔纳先生说，这样的庆典将为圣地亚哥地区人民带来美好的文化享受。 <BR> <BR>加州议院众议员周尔·安德森（Joel Anderson）先生感谢神韵纽约艺术团将纯正的中国文化介绍到圣地亚哥。安德森议员表示，华人新年晚会“将东方神圣的感召力与西方节庆精神相结合”，“展现正统中国文化艺术的精华”，其“表演基于古典主题与中国神传文化传统”，并“赞美高尚的品质和正面的价值观”，为社区做出了巨大的贡献。 <BR><STRONG>市议会联合签署褒奖 赞神韵“表达人性尊严”</STRONG><BR> <BR>维斯塔市市长莫里斯·万斯（Morris Vance）与市议会其他四名议员联合签署褒奖令，高度评价神韵艺术团“重新发掘、再现正统文化的精髓，并将表达人性尊严与正面价值观的艺术呈现于世”。褒奖令特别提到，神韵艺术团的舞蹈演员“受到中国古典舞的高难度训练”，“通过高超的舞蹈技艺”表演“独特的动作、韵律和姿态”。 <BR> <BR>卡尔斯堡市市长克劳德·路易斯先生代表市议会表彰新年晚会。路易斯先生并指出，新唐人电视台帮助华裔移民适应、进入主流社会，并通过多种多样的节目向美国社会介绍丰富的中国文化遗产，并坚持媒体独立原则，确保进出中国的信息畅通无阻。 <BR> <BR>路易斯先生说鼠年是“象征生机蓬勃、奋发进取和机遇无限的一年”，并祝愿晚会取得“全面成功”。</P>

<P><B>官员赞神韵促进多元文化 </B><BR> <BR>多位政要在褒奖令和贺信中提到，新唐人电视台以晚会形式，促进东西方文化之间的了解，对于社区的多元文化建设，有积极正面影响。 <BR> <BR>联邦议员艾萨在贺信中说，新唐人电视台主办的新年晚会，为圣地亚哥地区带来了丰富多彩的多元文化，这一努力值得嘉奖。戴维斯议员称，新唐人神韵艺术团的努力“的确带来了变化”，“赢得了社区的高度评价”。 <BR> <BR>路易斯市长说，中国新年对于东亚族裔的人们而言是最重要的一个节日，而新唐人全球华人新年晚会在各文化、民族与宗教纷纷庆祝节日之际为这些家庭提供了欢聚一堂、庆祝佳节，与社区其他族裔分享传统的良机。 <BR> <BR>官员们借发布褒奖和贺信的机会，向整个亚裔社区拜年。 <BR> <BR>圣地亚哥市议员布莱恩·孟山用“恭喜发财”开始他的贺信。他所有晚会观众和他们的家人“身体健康、万事如意”。孟山说，新年之际，我们应该与亲朋好友共同欢庆。</P></font></td>
